RISKUL v1.5.0 introduces new features and improvements to some existing functions.

System Improvements

Styling improvements for highlighting worksheet rows that are selected or being hovered over in both Dark & Light Modes.

Adding a Project

Function added enabling the use of Project, Strategic, and Opportunity Matrix when setting up a new project (Projects must have a Project RC Matrix and an Opportunity Matrix assigned).

Risk Classification Matrix

RISKUL default Assessment Categories / content updated.

Strategic Matrix introduced with default categories for Operations, Strategy, Finance, Reputation. The Strategic Matrix works alongside the existing Project Risk Classification Matrix in the Risk Register allowing for Risk Register content to assess and display Strategic and Project risk simultaneously.

Strategy listing added to the Risk Classification Matrix Template to enable a Strategy to be assigned to Risk Register content. Default strategy content: Avoid, Transfer, Accept, Mitigate, Share; all Strategy content can be edited.

Opportunities Added

RISKUL integrates opportunity logging with the Risk Register and provides a process to enable opportunities to be logged, assessed for potential benefit, and a strategy to be decided on how best to manage the opportunity. 

Opportunity Worksheet

Addition of a specifically designed Opportunity Worksheet enabling opportunities to be identified and managed. Opportunities can be directly linked to an identified risk on the Risk Register or as a stand-alone entry. Filter content, update the Opportunity Value, and assign a Strategy.

• Select the RRId column to see a summarised version the Risk Register worksheet content linked to the Opportunity content or go directly back to the Risk Register worksheet.

• Select the RRId column and link the opportunity to a specific risk register column, there is no limit to how many opportunities can be linked to a risk register row.
• Print / Export the Opportunity Worksheet with / without the Opportunity Matrix.

Opportunity Matrix

Opportunity Matrix Template added for use in the Opportunity Worksheet. The matrix includes Probability and Benefit categories that can be user defined and set to the required action level and a Value List with up to 8x selections, all default content can be edited. There is no limit to the number of Opportunity Matrix that can be created, use 1x for your organisation or develop a new Opportunity Matrix for each project.

Risk Register Worksheet

Changing the selected Category removes the assigned Sub–Category.

At Risk selection in the worksheet distinguishes between Project & Strategic risk and enables the consequence value from the corresponding RC Matrix to be displayed. You select the consequence directly from the applicable matrix.

Opportunities column added showing the number of opportunities linked to each Risk Register row.

• Open the Opportunity Worksheet from the Risk Register Opportunities column to add / edit opportunities that are linked to Risk Register row content.
• Go directly to the Opportunity Worksheet to add / edit content.
• Click on the opportunity to go directly to the Opportunity Worksheet row content.

Strategy column & filter added.

Initiated By filter removed.

Dashboard Updates

Project Dashboard

The RAM Summary section has been updated with charts including Opportunities, to provide a detailed breakdown of Project statistics.

• Opportunity & RC Matrix Project templates can be edited from the Project Dashboard.

• Priority Opportunities can be selected to display.

• Project Member listing shows the # of Opportunities assigned to each Project Member.

RAM Dashboards

HAZID, HAZOP, HIRA, & TRA Dashboard statistical display has been redesigned.

• HAZID / HAZOP Stage displays as a bar graph.
• HIRA / TRA Stage displays as a stacked bar graph incorporating Residual Risk Scores.
• Risk Acceptance Level display condensed.
• Status shows Open, Transferred, Ongoing, Closed actions.

Risk Register Dashboard

New Risk Register Dashboard displays Project and Strategic Risk and Opportunities.

• Click to access the Risk Register Worksheet or the Opportunities worksheet.

HIRA & TRA Worksheets

Copying rows between worksheets results in the copied content Risk Score / Residual Risk Score defaulting to High (risk) to ensure Users re-evaluate content. The existing RISKUL copy functionality is retained with project specific fields defaulting to system values ensuring values specific to one project aren’t copied to another.

Copying a worksheet to an alternative project also results in Risk Score / Residual Risk Score defaulting to High (risk). The existing RISKUL copy functionality is retained with project specific fields defaulting to system values ensuring values specific to one project aren’t copied to another.

Option to add a custom entry into the ‘At Risk’ column has been removed.
